A scuba diving @ Cousins Rocks offers terraced steps that descend to 30 meters before dropping down to a Sandy bottom at 40 meters. The steps are covered with soft black coral, and are an excellent place to find the Pacific Seahorse. The overhangs from some of the steps are favorite places of the white tipped reef sharks, green sea turtles and large moray eels, as well as octopi. Schools of barracuda and other reef fish can also be seen at these sites. Manta rays and hammerheads can often be seen off the steps in the blue.

Location: Located on the east coast of Santiago Island near the island of Bartolome, within 90 minutes from the Itabaca Channel (north side of Santa Cruz). It is a triangular-shaped islet.

Site Conditions: Under normal conditions no strong currents, diving is on a shelving reef, with many endemic black corals on the walls.

Activity: Cleaning station, pacific seahorses, barracudas, sea lions, Galapagos shark, white tip shark, sea turtles, reef fish, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, and a variety of invertebrates and mollusks.

Dive difficulty: This site have little current and is a great place for the in-experienced and seasoned diver alike. Drift dive.

Duration: Full day tour.
